  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 400 grams diced tomatoes
  • 250 milliliters milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the skillet.
Step 2
Add the flour to the bacon grease and stir continuously to make a roux. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the mixture turns golden brown.
Step 3
Slowly add the diced tomatoes and their juice, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Step 4
Gradually add the milk while stirring continuously until the mixture is smooth.
Step 5
Season with salt and black pepper. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the gravy thickens to your desired consistency.
Step 6
Crumble the cooked bacon and stir it back into the gravy. Serve hot over biscuits, rice, or potatoes.
