Ingredients

  • 20 basil leaves
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 800 g cherry tomatoes
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 60 ml olive oil
  • 60 g parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 400 g spaghetti

Directions

Step 1
Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 2
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Step 3
Add the cherry tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes have softened and released their juices, about 10 minutes.
Step 4
Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the tomato mixture.
Step 5
Remove from heat and stir in the basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese.
Step 6
Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
