Ingredients

  • 2 g black pepper
  • 120 g cornmeal
  • 1 egg
  • 120 g flour
  • 240 ml milk
  • 24 oysters
  • 2 g paprika
  • 5 g salt
  • 500 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Step 3
In another bowl, beat the egg and stir in the milk.
Step 4
Dip each oyster into the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture, coating completely.
Step 5
Carefully place the oysters into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Step 6
Remove the oysters from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Step 7
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
