Step 1
Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F). Grease and flour a large tube or bundt pan.
Step 2
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time.

In another bowl, sift together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
Step 4
Fold in the orange slices, coconut, and nuts.
Step 5
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

Bake for about 2 hours or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
