Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 500 g plums
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 200 g sugar
  • 120 ml vinegar

Directions

Step 1
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
Step 2
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
Step 3
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 4
Once the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Step 5
Blend the mixture until smooth using an immersion blender or regular blender.
Step 6
Allow the sauce to cool completely before transferring to jars or containers for storage.
