Step 1
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.

Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.

Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are tender, about 5 minutes.

Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine.

Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

Reduce heat to low and stir in the sour cream, salt, and pepper. Heat through but do not boil.

In a separate pot, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain well.

Serve the beef mixture over the cooked egg noodles.
