Ingredients

  • 1 gallon dandelion flowers
  • 1 lemons
  • 2 oranges
  • 3.5 pounds sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 package yeast

Directions

Step 1
Collect dandelion flowers, ensuring they are free of pesticides and other contaminants.
Step 2
Place dandelion flowers in a large pot.
Step 3
Pour boiling water over the flowers and let steep for 24 hours.
Step 4
Strain the liquid into a large pot, discarding the flowers.
Step 5
Add sugar, sliced oranges, and sliced lemon to the strained liquid.
Step 6
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
Step 8
Add wine yeast to the cooled mixture and stir well.
Step 9
Pour the mixture into a sterilized fermentation vessel.
Step 10
Cover the vessel with a fermentation lock and let ferment for about 3 weeks.

After fermentation, strain the liquid into bottles and cork them.
Step 12
Store the bottles in a cool, dark place for at least 6 months before consuming.
