In a large pot, cook the chicken breasts over medium heat until no longer pink in the center. Remove from pot and shred.

In the same pot, add the diced onion and cook until translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.

Add the shredded chicken back to the pot along with the great Northern beans, chicken broth, green chiles, cumin, oregano, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir to combine.
