Ingredients

  • 240 grams blueberries
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 240 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a medium saucepan, combine the blueberries, water, and sugar.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

Stir occasionally and gently mash the blueberries with the back of a spoon to release their juices.

Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
Step 5
Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean container, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible.
Step 6
Discard the solids and let the syrup cool completely before using.
