  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 2 cups long grain rice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup peas
  • 0.5 teaspoon saffron threads
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 yellow onion

Directions

Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Season the chicken thighs with salt and black pepper, then brown them in the skillet for about 5 minutes on each side.

Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are tender.

Stir in the rice and cook for 2 minutes, ensuring it is well-coated with the oil and vegetables.

Pour in the chicken broth and tomato sauce. Add the saffron threads and bring to a boil.
