Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken breasts
  • 125 ml chicken broth
  • 60 g cornstarch
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 2 stalks green onions
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 30 ml rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 50 g sugar
  • 300 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized chunks.
Step 2
In a bowl, beat the egg and add the chicken chunks to coat.
Step 3
Dredge the chicken pieces in cornstarch until fully coated.
Step 4
Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Step 5
Fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside.
Step 6
In another pan, combine soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, chicken broth, minced garlic, ginger, and red chili flakes. Bring to a simmer.
Step 7
Add the fried chicken pieces to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
Step 8
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
