  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 400 grams diced tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup fresh basil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 50 grams parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 3
Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
Step 4
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Step 5
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 6
Add the diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
Step 7
Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the tomato mixture over the top of each piece.
Step 8
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
Step 9
Remove from the oven and top with chopped fresh basil and grated parmesan cheese before serving.
