  • 600 grams apples
  • 12 grams baking powder
  • 10 grams cinnamon
  • 4 eggs
  • 375 grams flour
  • 180 milliliters orange juice
  • 2 grams salt
  • 400 grams sugar
  • 50 grams sugar (for apples)
  • 5 milliliters vanilla extract
  • 240 milliliters vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a tube pan.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine flour, 2 cups of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3
In another bowl, whisk together vegetable oil, orange juice, vanilla extract, and eggs.
Step 4
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
Step 5
In a separate bowl, mix the sliced apples with 1/4 cup of sugar and cinnamon.
Step 6
Pour a third of the batter into the prepared pan. Layer half of the apple mixture on top of the batter. Repeat with another third of the batter and the remaining apples. Finish with the remaining batter.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for about 90 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Step 8
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 20 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
