  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 tbsp liquid smoke
  • 2.5 kg pork butt
  • 1.5 tbsp sea salt

Directions

Step 1
Rub the pork butt with sea salt and liquid smoke.
Step 2
Place the seasoned pork butt into the slow cooker.
Step 3
Cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
Step 4
Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
Step 5
Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and add the chopped cabbage.
Step 6
Cook for an additional 30 minutes on low until the cabbage is tender.
Step 7
Serve the Kalua pork and cabbage hot.
