Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

In a blender, combine the rice, water, and cinnamon stick. Blend until the rice and cinnamon stick are roughly ground.

Let the mixture sit at room temperature for at least 3 hours or overnight for better flavor.
Step 4
Strain the rice mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher.
Step 5
Stir in the milk, vanilla extract, and sugar until well combined.

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
