  • 4 pieces abalone
  • 5 grams cornstarch
  • 25 grams ginger
  • 2 stalks green onions
  • 30 ml oyster sauce
  • 5 ml sesame oil
  • 30 ml soy sauce
  • 10 grams sugar
  • 100 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Clean the abalone thoroughly, removing any impurities.
Step 2
Slice the ginger and cut the green onions into 2-inch pieces.
Step 3
In a pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the abalone for 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Step 4
In a wok, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the ginger and green onions, and stir-fry until fragrant.
Step 5
Add the blanched abalone to the wok and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
Step 6
Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and water. Bring the mixture to a boil.
Step 7
Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the abalone to absorb the flavors.
Step 8
Mix the cornstarch with a small amount of water to create a slurry. Add it to the wok to thicken the sauce.
Step 9
Serve the abalone hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
