  • 7 g active dry yeast
  • 720 g all-purpose flour
  • 60 g butter
  • 240 ml milk
  • 5 g salt
  • 50 g sugar
  • 240 ml warm water

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the water and let it sit for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes foamy.

Stir in the milk, melted butter, and salt into the yeast mixture.

Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Continue to add flour until a soft dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal portions. Shape each portion into a roll and place them on a greased baking sheet.

Cover the rolls with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).

Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
