  • 4 artichokes
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 lemon
  • 0.5 cup olive oil
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup parsley
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2
Prepare the artichokes by trimming the stems and removing the tough outer leaves. Cut the top third of the artichoke and use a spoon to scoop out the fuzzy choke.
Step 3
In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper.
Step 4
Stuff each artichoke with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing it down between the leaves.
Step 5
Place the stuffed artichokes in a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice.
Step 6
Pour about 1 inch of water into the baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the artichokes are tender.
Step 8
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
