Ingredients

  • 240 g apricot preserves
  • 15 g brown sugar
  • 5 g cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 30 ml rice vinegar
  • 15 ml soy sauce
  • 60 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine apricot preserves, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and brown sugar.
Step 2
Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved.
Step 3
Add the grated ginger and minced garlic, and continue to cook for another 2 minutes.
Step 4
In a small bowl, mix the water and cornstarch until smooth, then add to the saucepan.
Step 5
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
Step 6
Remove from heat and let cool. Transfer to a jar and refrigerate until ready to use.
