Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 100 g cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 500 g flour
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 400 g kidney beans
  • 2 cups lettuce
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tomato
  • 400 ml tomato sauce
  • 500 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
Step 2
Add the kidney beans, tomato sauce, and chili powder to the skillet. Stir well and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the milk, mixing until a dough forms.
Step 4
Divide the dough into small balls and flatten each ball into a disk about 1 cm thick.
Step 5
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry each dough disk until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
Step 6
To assemble the tacos, place a fried bread on a plate, top with the beef mixture, then add shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese. Serve immediately.
