  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 800 g fresh tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar

Directions

Step 1
Blanch the tomatoes in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then transfer them to an ice bath to cool. Peel and chop the tomatoes.
Step 2
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Step 3
Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes break down and the sauce thickens.
Step 4
Season the sauce with salt, sugar, dried oregano, dried basil, and black pepper. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
Step 5
Let the sauce cool before using it on your pizza. Store any leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
