  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1.5 l beef broth
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 3 carrots
  • 900 g lamb shoulder
  • 2 onions
  • 900 g potatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp thyme

Directions

Step 1
Heat a large pot over medium-high heat and add the lamb chunks. Cook until browned on all sides.
Step 2
Remove the lamb from the pot and set aside. Add the onions to the pot and cook until softened.
Step 3
Return the lamb to the pot and add the potatoes, carrots, beef broth, thyme, bay leaves, salt, and pepper.
Step 4
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 1.5 hours, or until the lamb is tender.
