These stuffed cheese burgers, commonly known as Juicy Lucys, are a delicious twist on the classic burger. By placing the cheese inside the patty, you get a gooey, melty surprise in every bite. Perfect for BBQs or a fun family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 225 g cheddar cheese
  • 900 g ground beef
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper until well combined.
Step 3
Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions and flatten each portion into a thin patty.
Step 4
Place a few cubes of cheddar cheese in the center of 4 of the patties.
Step 5
Cover each cheese-topped patty with one of the remaining patties and press the edges together to seal, forming 4 stuffed patties.
Step 6
Brush each patty with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
Step 7
Grill the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the beef is fully cooked and the cheese inside is melted.
Step 8
Serve the burgers on hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.
