  • 1 kg chicken
  • 2 cups chili leaves
  • 3 tbsp fish sauce
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 30 g ginger
  • 1 green papaya
  • 1 onion
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 cups water

Directions

Step 1
In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat and sauté the garlic, onion, and ginger until fragrant.
Step 2
Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are lightly browned.
Step 3
Pour in the fish sauce and cook for another 2 minutes.
Step 4
Add the water to the pot and bring it to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for about 30 minutes or until the chicken is tender.
Step 5
Add the green papaya slices and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the papaya is tender.
Step 6
Add the chili leaves, salt, and pepper. Stir well and let it cook for another 2 minutes.
Step 7
Serve hot with rice.
