Perfect Grilled Tri-Tip

This grilled tri-tip recipe is perfect for a summer BBQ. The meat is marinated with a blend of spices and grilled to perfection, resulting in a juicy and flavorful dish that will impress your guests.

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 60 ml olive oil
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 1.5 kg tri-tip roast
  • 30 ml Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil, soy sauce, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
Step 2
Place the tri-tip roast in the bowl and rub the marinade all over the meat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Step 3
Preheat your grill to high heat.
Step 4
Remove the tri-tip roast from the marinade and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before grilling.
Step 5
Place the tri-tip on the grill and sear each side for about 5 minutes to get a nice crust.
Step 6
Reduce the heat to medium and continue to grill, turning occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 54°C for medium-rare, about 20-25 minutes.
Step 7
Remove the tri-tip from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
