Ingredients

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 100 g cheddar cheese
  • 500 g chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 8 tortillas
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, and lime juice.
Step 3
Add the chicken breasts to the bowl and coat them well with the seasoning mixture.
Step 4
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken breasts until fully cooked, about 7-8 minutes per side.
Step 5
Remove the chicken from the skillet and shred it with two forks.
Step 6
Mix the shredded chicken with the shredded cheddar cheese.
Step 7
Place about 2 tablespoons of the chicken and cheese mixture onto each tortilla and roll them up tightly.
Step 8
Place the rolled tortillas seam-side down on a baking sheet.
Step 9
Brush the tops lightly with vegetable oil.
Step 10
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the taquitos are crispy and golden brown.
