Ingredients

  • 50 grams butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 500 ml milk
  • 100 grams raisins
  • 250 grams stale bread
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
Grease a baking dish with a small amount of butter.
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine the cubed stale bread and raisins.
Step 4
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well mixed.

Pour the milk mixture over the bread and raisins, and let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the bread to soak up the liquid.
Step 6
Transfer the bread mixture to the prepared baking dish, and drizzle the melted butter over the top.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
