Ingredients

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 50 g chopped onions
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 4 flour tortillas
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 200 g refried beans
  • 100 ml salsa
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 100 g shredded cheese
  • 500 g shredded chicken

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, refried beans, chopped onions, minced garlic, cumin powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
Step 2
Lay out the flour tortillas and evenly distribute the chicken mixture onto each tortilla.
Step 3
Sprinkle shredded cheese and add salsa on top of the chicken mixture.
Step 4
Fold the sides of the tortillas and roll them up tightly to form chimichangas.
Step 5
Brush each chimichanga with olive oil.
Step 6
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.
Step 7
Place the chimichangas in the air fryer basket, seam side down, and cook for 10 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Step 8
Serve hot with additional salsa, guacamole, or sour cream if desired.
