  • 680 grams beef flank steak
  • 180 grams brown sugar
  • 1 cup carrots
  • 60 grams cornstarch
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 green onions
  • 120 ml soy sauce
  • 15 ml vegetable oil
  • 120 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Place the sliced beef in a large resealable plastic bag. Add cornstarch, seal the bag, and shake to coat the beef evenly.
Step 2
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Transfer the beef to the slow cooker.
Step 3
In a medium bowl, combine garlic, soy sauce, water, and brown sugar. Pour the mixture over the beef in the slow cooker.
Step 4
Add the shredded carrots and chopped green onions to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.

Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the beef is tender.
