  • 500 ml BBQ sauce
  • 10 g black pepper
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 5 g cayenne pepper
  • 10 g garlic powder
  • 10 g onion powder
  • 30 g paprika
  • 2 kg pork shoulder
  • 15 g salt

Directions

Step 1
In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create the spice rub.
Step 2
Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, making sure to cover all sides.
Step 3
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker.
Step 4
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
Step 5
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and use two forks to shred the meat.
Step 6
Mix the shredded pork with BBQ sauce until well coated.
Step 7
Serve the pulled pork on buns or as desired.
