  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 15 g baking powder
  • 60 g butter
  • 5 g salt
  • vegetable oil
  • 240 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cut the butter into small pieces and add to the flour mixture. Use your hands to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add water to the mixture, a little at a time, mixing until a dough forms. The dough should be soft but not sticky.

On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.

Divide the dough into small pieces and shape each piece into a ball.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

Fry the dumplings in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per batch.
