  • 1 bell pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 240 milliliters chicken broth
  • 500 grams cooked rice
  • 400 grams diced tomatoes
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 green onions
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 500 grams shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the onion, bell pepper, and celery, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
Step 4
Add the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
Step 5
Pour in the diced tomatoes and chicken broth, then add the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, bay leaf, cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they are pink and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
Step 8
Discard the bay leaf and stir in the green onions and parsley.
Step 9
Serve the shrimp creole over cooked rice.
