  • 240 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 120 g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 60 g unsalted butter

  • 180 ml whole milk

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, and salt.

Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
Step 5
Add the milk and stir just until combined. Do not overmix.
Step 6
Drop the dough by heaping tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.
Step 7
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
Step 8
While the biscuits are baking, mix the melted butter with the garlic powder and chopped parsley.
Step 9
Brush the tops of the hot biscuits with the garlic butter mixture before serving.
