  • 480 g all-purpose flour
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 60 g butter
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 240 ml milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 100 g sugar
  • 60 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.

In a separate bowl, warm the milk, water, and butter until the butter is melted. Let it cool to lukewarm.
Step 3
Add the milk mixture and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
Step 4
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Mix the ground cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl.

Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.

Brush the dough with the melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top.

Roll up the dough tightly, starting from one of the short ends, and place it in a greased loaf pan.

Cover the loaf and let it rise for another 30 minutes or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).

Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.

Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
