Ingredients

  • 15 ml lemon juice
  • 500 g strawberries
  • 200 g sugar
  • 120 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Combine strawberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice in a medium saucepan.

Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until strawberries are very soft.
Step 4
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Step 5
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, pressing on the solids to extract as much syrup as possible.
Step 6
Transfer the syrup to a jar or bottle and refrigerate until ready to use.
