A simple and flavorful dish made with sautéed cabbage, crispy bacon, and aromatic onions and garlic. Perfect as a side dish or a main course.
Directions
Step 1
In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the skillet.
Step 2
Add the diced onion to the skillet and sauté in the bacon grease until softened, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Step 4
Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and stir to coat with the bacon grease, onion, and garlic.
Step 5
Season with salt and black pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and slightly caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
Step 6
Stir the crispy bacon back into the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes to combine the flavors.
Step 7
Serve hot and enjoy!
