A creamy and traditional Indian frozen dessert made with milk and flavored with pistachios. Perfect for cooling down on a hot day.
Directions
Step 1
In a large pan, bring the whole milk to a boil.
Step 2
Reduce the heat and let it simmer until it reduces to half of its original quantity, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
Step 3
Add the condensed milk and dry milk powder to the reduced milk. Stir well to combine.
Step 4
Add the white sugar and continue to simmer until the mixture thickens.
Step 5
Finely chop the pistachio nuts and add them to the mixture, stirring to distribute evenly.
Step 6
Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
Step 7
Pour the mixture into kulfi molds or small cups and freeze for at least 6 hours or until set.
Step 8
To serve, remove the kulfi from the molds and garnish with additional chopped pistachios if desired.
