Ingredients

  • 1 baguette
  • 10 leaves basil
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 60 ml olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tomatoes

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
Step 2
Slice the baguette into 1 cm thick slices and place them on a baking sheet.
Step 3
Toast the baguette slices in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown.
Step 4
While the bread is toasting, finely chop the tomatoes and place them in a bowl.
Step 5
Mince the garlic and add it to the tomatoes.
Step 6
Chop the basil leaves and add them to the tomato mixture.
Step 7
Add the olive oil, salt, and black pepper to the tomato mixture and stir to combine.
Step 8
Once the bread is toasted, spoon the tomato mixture onto each slice.
