  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 500 grams scallops

Directions

Step 1
Pat the scallops dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
Step 2
Season the scallops with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Step 3
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 4
Add the scallops to the skillet in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
Step 5
Cook the scallops for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and opaque in the center.
Step 6
Remove the scallops from the skillet and set them aside.
Step 7
Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet.
Step 8
Once the butter has melted, add the lemon juice and chopped parsley.

Return the scallops to the skillet and toss them in the lemon-butter sauce for about a minute.

Serve the scallops immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
