This easy pressure cooker pot roast recipe yields a tender, flavorful roast with minimal effort and in much less time compared to traditional methods.

Step 1
Season the beef chuck roast with salt and black pepper on all sides.
Step 2
Heat the olive oil in the pressure cooker on the sauté setting. Brown the roast on all sides, about 4 minutes per side.

Remove the roast and set aside. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the cooker and sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and rosemary to the cooker. Stir to combine.

Return the roast to the cooker. Add the carrots and potatoes around the roast.

Seal the pressure cooker and cook on high pressure for 60 minutes.
