Ingredients

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 200 grams cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 240 ml sour cream
  • 900 grams tater tots

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Step 3
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
Step 4
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Step 5
Fold in half of the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and well combined.
Step 6
Pour the beef mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread it out evenly.
Step 7
Arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the beef mixture in a single layer.
Step 8
Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
Step 9
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the tater tots are crispy and the cheese is bubbly.
