In a large bowl, mix the yogurt, garlic, ginger, garam masala, cumin, turmeric, paprika, and salt. Add the chicken and coat well. Marinate for at least 1 hour.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté until golden brown.

Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until the chicken is no longer pink.
