A simple and delicious recipe for baked Indian samosas with a savory filling. Perfect for snacks or appetizers.

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
Step 2
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and fry until golden brown.

Add ginger, garlic, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Fry for a minute.

Add boiled and mashed potatoes and peas. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool. Add chopped cilantro.

In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour with 2 tablespoons of oil and salt. Add water gradually to make a stiff dough. Knead well.

Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a thin oval shape. Cut it into two halves.

Take one half and form a cone shape. Stuff it with the potato-pea filling and seal the edges with water.
Step 8
Place the prepared samosas on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush them with oil.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot with chutney.
