Ingredients

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 sprigs thyme

Directions

Step 1
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
Step 2
Place the chicken breasts in a vacuum-sealable bag along with olive oil, minced garlic, and thyme sprigs.
Step 3
Seal the bag using a vacuum sealer.
Step 4
Preheat the sous vide water bath to 60°C (140°F).
Step 5
Once the water has reached the desired temperature, submerge the sealed bag into the water bath.
Step 6
Cook the chicken breasts for 90 minutes.
Step 7
After cooking, remove the chicken from the bag and pat dry with paper towels.
Step 8
Optional: Sear the chicken breasts in a hot skillet with a bit of oil for 1-2 minutes on each side to achieve a golden-brown crust.
Step 9
Serve the chicken breasts immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
