Ingredients

  • 75 grams brown sugar
  • 150 grams butter
  • 100 grams golden syrup
  • 225 grams rolled oats

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 20x20cm (8x8 inch) baking tin with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a saucepan, melt the butter, brown sugar, and golden syrup over low heat, stirring occasionally until completely melted and combined.
Step 3
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the rolled oats until fully coated with the syrup mixture.
Step 4
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking tin and spread it out evenly, pressing it down with the back of a spoon.
Step 5
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
Step 6
Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin for about 5 minutes, then cut into squares or bars while still warm.
Step 7
Let the flapjacks cool completely in the tin before removing and serving.
