  • 8 slices bread
  • 30 g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 g ground cinnamon
  • 120 ml heavy cream
  • 240 ml milk
  • 1 g nutmeg
  • 50 g sugar
  • 5 ml vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
Grease a baking dish with butter.
Step 3
Arrange the slices of bread in the baking dish.
Step 4
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Pour the egg mixture over the bread slices, making sure all the bread is soaked.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
