  • 190 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 g baking powder
  • 5 g baking soda
  • 110 g brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 240 g peanut butter
  • 1 g salt
  • 115 g unsalted butter
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 200 g white sugar

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).

In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and butter until smooth.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well blended.
Step 4
Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture and mix until just combined.
Step 6
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
Step 7
Flatten each ball with a fork, making a crisscross pattern.
Step 8
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
Step 9
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
