Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches and cook until browned on all sides. Transfer the meatballs to a plate and set aside.

In the same pot, add the chicken broth, carrots, and celery. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.

Add the meatballs back to the pot, along with the spinach and acini di pepe pasta. Simmer for an additional 10-12 minutes, until the pasta is tender and the meatballs are cooked through.
