  • 5 g baking powder
  • 2 g black pepper
  • 240 ml cold water
  • 60 g cornstarch
  • 1 egg
  • 120 g flour
  • 2 g garlic powder
  • 1000 ml oil
  • 200 g panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 g paprika
  • 5 g salt
  • 500 g shrimp

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Step 2
In another bowl, beat the egg and mix in the cold water.
Step 3
Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
Step 4
Dip each shrimp into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off.
Step 5
Coat the shrimp with panko breadcrumbs.
Step 6
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 180°C.
Step 7
Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
Step 8
Remove the shrimp from the oil and drain on paper towels.
