Ingredients

  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 ml milk
  • 5 g salt
  • 100 g sugar
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 10 g yeast

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt.
Step 2
Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
Step 3
Add the yeast mixture, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients.
Step 4
Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
Step 5
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball.
Step 7
Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Bake the Pan Dulce for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
